300

Three and a half stars out of four. Both highly entertaining and highly graphic. Don't take your girlfriend/wife to see this one. It is strictly a guys' movie. Lots of blood and nudity. But it was an awesome action film with respectable acting. Basic Synopsis: It is loosely based on the Battle of Thermopylae and a comic book about said battle. 300 Spartan warriors at a mountain pass hold off the entire Persian army in order to give the rest of Greece time to prepare for the invasion.

Facing the Giants

Half a star out of four. I haven't flamed a movie in a while. Here's a good one. Wholesome, Christian movie or not, it wasn't very good. I'm getting quite tired of these ripoffs of "Remember the Titans". Granted, it was done entirely by a church, not professionals, which is why I gave it half a star instead of none. But still...I've seen high school plays better than this. Acting was terrible to the point of being comical at times. Overall, dull, unoriginal, easily forgotten. I'm not even going to give a plot summary. Also, it should be noted that I did not choose to watch this movie...I couldn't help it, I was on a bus on the choir tour, and they had the volume up so loud that I couldn't hear my music.

Ghost Rider

Two and a half stars out of four. Never seen a Nicolas Cage movie that I didn't like. This one has a few cheesy moments in it, but they are forgiveable. I probably wouldn't buy it, but it's worth seeing, at least. Basic Synopsis: Cage's character, as a young man, makes a deal with Mephistopheles to save his father from cancer. In return, he must become a "Ghost Rider"...basically, a bounty hunter for Satan. Later in life, Mephistopheles calls on his services to capture a rogue demon that is trying to steal a contract for 1000 souls.
