The Prestige

Three stars out of four. I could have given it four, but I'm not sure if I liked the ending or not. Very good movie though, definitely worth seeing. Basic Synopsis: Two magicians who were once friends compete to see who has the best "disappearing man" trick. Rather strange ending.

Man of the Year

Three stars out of four. It's worth seeing just for the humor. It has a fairly shallow plot, but I love Robin Williams and his movies. That's why I give it three stars. I agree with its political message of dispensing of party politics and doing what's best for the people. However, being a pessimist, I believe that it's unrealistic. However, that probably won't keep me from voting independent come the next election. But I won't get into a discussion of politics on this blog.

Clue

Three stars out of four. This is a fun murder mystery/comedy based on the board game of the same title. You'll never figure it out, trust me. Humorous and brilliant. Stars Tim Curry as the butler. Basic Synopsis: Six strangers are invited to the mansion of Mr. Boddy, where they learn that they all have something in common: they are being blackmailed by Mr. Boddy. But when the lights go out in the room where they are all gathered, Mr. Boddy is killed, and no one knows who did it.

Arsenic and Old Lace

Four stars out of four. Sound boring? I didn't know it was a comedy. This is hilarious. I didn't know that Cary Grant made comedies. Shows how much I know about old school actors. Anyways, awesome movie, I highly recommend it. Basic Synopsis: Mortimer Brewster (Cary Grant) decides to get married to a minister's daughter. However, while waiting at his aunts' home for his new bride to return from packing, he discovers that his aunts are hiding a body in the window seat. Other notable, comedic characters involved are his younger brother, who believes that he is Theodore Roosevelt, and his older brother, a career criminal who bears a striking resemblance to Boris Karloff.
